Are You Interested in Obtaining a Bike?

There are 3 major steps in the process of obtaining your rider's bike:
- FITTING! You will be contacted by one of our board members to schedule a time for your rider to be fit for their own custom AmTryke. Each family will work with a Physical or Occupational Therapist that is knowledgeable in the adaptations available to be able to choose the best tryke to fit your rider’s needs. Our goal is to make sure each bike is both fun and therapeutic.
- FUNDRAISING! Once your rider has been fitted for a bike, the next step is fundraising. Our volunteer group will be participating in fundraising events throughout the year to benefit our Wish List Fund. As funds become available, the “Future Rider” with the earliest Wish List placement date will be first to receive his or her AmTryke®. We also encourage you to actively fund raise. One easy first step is to check out our Facebook page for fundraising events and other updates.
- BIKE DELIVERY! When funds have been raised for your rider’s bike, then bikes are delivered through organized “bike giveaway” events. If you have self-paid for your bike or if your bike is to be delivered at a time other than an organized event, we will work with your family to determine a neutral location in the greater Greenville area to deliver your bike. Through our wish list process, our chapter is able to provide your rider’s bike at a discounted rate, receive and assemble the bike, and provide a licensed therapist to complete the fitting. Please keep this in mind and be flexible when determining a location for bike pick-up/delivery.
