About
We, at Upstate SC AMBUCS, seek funding to provide adapted tricycles for people with lifelong mobility limitations. Our primary focus as an organization is serving children and veterans within the upstate. Each person is fit for their custom amtryke by a physical or occupational therapist to ensure it is not only fun, but therapeutic. A variety of adaptations are available to allow people of all abilities to be appropriately supported while riding. Our goal is to allow these people to build fond memories of riding, a sense of independence and increasing physical fitness.

Meet Our Board
Kelly Keller, President Upstate SC AMBUCS
Kelly is a pediatric physical therapist and current president of our chapter. She enjoys an active lifestyle including yoga, running, traveling and riding her bike. Kelly appreciates how recreational activities can benefit the mind, body and soul. She wanted to start an AMBUCS chapter after coordinating a National AMBUCS bike day at Kidnetics. Thanks to the help of friends, co workers, and Carolina Triathlon this chapter is off to a great start. We hope to continue to provide a fun source of exercise for people with disabilities!

Victoria Helmus, Vice President Upstate SC AMBUCS
Victoria is a pediatric physical therapist and the wish list leader for Upstate SC AMBUCS. She loves combining her love for people with her love for being active and is super excited to be able to join the Upstate SC AMBUCS team. After having the opportunity to get a tryke for one of her own patients and seeing the look on her face, she got hooked and now can't wait to help other families have the same experience. Victoria is counting down the days to our own Upstate SC AMBUCS Bike day where more kids from our wish list will receive their bikes.

Scott Jeffery, Secretary Upstate SC AMBUCS
Scott lives in Powdersville with his wife, his 12+1 (my wife is not ready for 13 yet) year old son, and 9 year old daughter. Scott wanted to become part of the board to try and help give back to the special needs community. His daughter received her bike a few months ago and loves it. Scott is honored to be a part of the AMBUCS team and can't wait to help bring smiles to all the kids and adults that will get to ride a bike for the first time.

Janell Pennington, Communication Committee
Janell is a Greenville native and loves the active community of the Upstate. She wanted to become involved in an organization that can give children the opportunity to create memories on their very own bike with friends and family.
